Coffee Bangle Bracelet - Multi Bean Jumble - Antique Copper Frame

$45.99

Calypso has teamed up with Portland favorite, Angelfire Coffee Roasters, on a new line of jewelry featuring coffee beans! Each necklace features Fair Trade, Organic, beans from different stages of the roasting process OR different origins captured in a Pewter Bezel. Each Bracelet is one-of-a-kind and One Size Fits All!

About the Beans:
THE MIRANDA is a bean from the Mountains of Colombia, grown about one mile above sea level. Angelfire partners with Cristian, Pablo and Richard, three farmers living in a guerrilla conflict zone. In an effort to lessen the violence that has ravaged the area, these farmers are taking a stand and replacing lucrative Coca Plants with Coffee. We are proud to be partnered with such a revolutio9nary group of men.
YIRGACHEFFE is a bean from the southern, Kochere District of Ethiopia. Well known for having berry undertones reminiscent of a red wine. This is a "natural" or dry-processed bean, meaning it is dried inside the fruit. (wet=processed beans have a more familiar floral or citrus undertone)
TAMAN DADAR is a name given by our farmers in Java, meaning "Flower Garden". Most coffee from Java is labeled as "estate" meaning it is grown on a government controlled farm. However recently, farmers on the Ijen Plateau in eastern Java has started exporting beans independently. This year, in addition to being certified Organic, this bean has been certified by the Rain forest Alliance for sustainable agricultural methods and social responsibility
