The Woman Behind Calypso

Quality jewelry cant be rushed.

It’s shaped slowly—by steady hands, by tired eyes, and by years of practice. And I am that type of crazy to specialize in the tedious stuff!

For three decades, I built my home in Multnomah Village in Southwest Portland. After 12 years importing jewelry for Topanien Gifts, I enjoyed 6 years providing jewelry repair, custom work and occasional instruction at Village Beads. During that time, I had the pleasure of meeting others in the industry, partnerships I still enjoy today. I handled thousands of pieces—heirlooms, everyday favorites, and sentimental treasures—learning not just how jewelry is made, but how it’s worn, loved (sometimes too much), and passed down.

Two things that are important to me: I believe jewelry should feel personal. It should be made to last, to be repaired rather than replaced. Secondly, Nature. I currently draw inspiration from the ocean—sand, strands and stones—reflected in hand-knotted pearls, off-loom beadwork, and anything else I may think of. But look into my portfolio and you may see jewelry inspired by other parts of nature.

Based in Portland, Oregon, and currently partnering with Sarah J Handmade, Sherries Jewelry Box and Black Market Pearls in Lake Oswego, OR, I’m grateful to continue serving my local community while sharing my work with customers around the globe.

What can I make you?
